Qutbi Brothers are the world’s first Qawwals who have created the “World Record” in which they performed 12 hrs continuously for “Adhyatmik Yatra Sufi Rang Sham Se Seher Tak” on 12th November 2016 at Sangeet Natak Akademi in New Delhi. This record has been included and published in the 2019 edition ‘Limca Book of Records’!
Qutbi Brothers are a “Top Grade” artist at All India Radio (Akashwani). They are also Empaneled with The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and the Festivals of India Abroad, Ministry of Culture (India).
Qutbi Brothers have been fortunate to perform for 2 most beloved former Presidents of India, first when they performed for “Jahan e Khusro” festival in the August presence of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam at Humayun Tomb in Delhi and they performed twice for Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma at the prestigious Rashtrapati Bhavan. They have performed not only in India but also in abroad countries such as, UK, France, Tanzania, UAE, Maldives, South Africa, Kenya and many others.
In their career spanning across several decades, they have enraptured audiences all over the world in several prestigious Indian and International festivals such as, Commonwealth Games India (SNA), Arth Festival 2020, Jahan-e-Khusro, Qutub Festival, Anhad Naad Festival (NCPA Mumbai), Sanskruti Art Festival 2020 (Mumbai), Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat, Sikkim 2020, Gurgaon Utsav, ICCR International Sufi Festival, Urdu Heritage Festival, Patna Maner Mahotsav Phool Walon Ki Sair, Jashn-e-Qawwali Festival, Chandni Chowk Mahotsav among others.
Qutbi Brothers have an equal command over traditional qawwali. They have sung and composed the mystic verses of poets and saints such as Baba Farid, Amir Khusrau, Meerabai, Rumi, Bulleh Shah, Kabir, among others.
For their work and contribution in the field of Qawwali, Qutbi Brothers have received several awards such as Genius Indian Achiever’s Award (For their world record contribution), Special Prize from Parliament House (India), Atal Bihari Award 2019, Rajiv Gandhi Award, Ghulam Mustafa Khan Award 2020 and among others.
Along with live qawwali singing, Qutbi Brothers are associated with various social works. They perform live for various social causes to raise funds. In 2018 they performed for a fundraiser event for the unprivileged children organized by Salaam Baalak Trust. They recently performed in Gujrat at a fundraiser to support 40 CRPF Braveheart’s Families of Pulwama Terror Attack.
They have also sung a Sufi song ‘Mere Maula’’ in a Bollywood movie ‘Room’ The: Mystery’. Their famous qawwalis have been recorded on cassettes & albums and released by famous music companies like T-series Venus, Max, Qutub Audio and many others.
